About SureCare
Operating since 1994, SureCare has been delivering care services to people in the comfort of their own homes. Starting around the city of Chester, their services have spread across the country over three decades.
Their services range from personal care and support around the home, to complex care for babies/young children, people with disabilities and those affected by dementia.
With over 70 branches in the UK, it makes them one of the biggest care providers in the country.
The Project
SureCare needed a responsive website that is easy to navigate for people who aren't very tech-savvy. They wanted their message to be clear and simple "committed to providing exceptional care services for all stages of life’s journey".
Key features include: the search bar on the landing page banner to search for your nearby branch, a job marketplace for ambitious carers and information on what SureCare can provide.
This should be responsive across web, tablet and mobile.
Design Process
Understand who our users are and find out their pain points.
01 Empathise
Defining potential solutions to said pain points, and defining what the product we're going to deliver is truly going to be and include.
02 Define
Based on what we've discovered so far - coming up with different options and ideas for the layout, functionality and overall UX flow.
03 Ideate
I will take the best ideas and throw them into a working prototype, typically on Figma.
04 Prototype
I will test via the prototype and monitor how users interact with it and if their behaviour is expected and if they like the product.
05 Test
Based on the testing phase will be if it goes ahead for development or goes through a round of iteration and testing again.
06 Iterate / Launch
User Persona

Information Architecture
I knew I needed to create a flow that was intuitive and easy to use due to the general user demographic not being particularly tech-savvy. By keeping the flow as uncluttered as possible, it eliminates the risk of users being confused or giving up on trying to find the information they need.

Outcomes + Future Steps
SureCare have received a 31% increase in care requests since the launch of the new website from the search bar feature alone. This is proof of this feature being front and centre is working in their favour.
They have also employed around 100 members of staff in the past year through the website. This is a positive trajectory!
